Dianne Feinstein disrespects children...or does she?

Here is my response video after clearly upsetting some of you:

Some of you are completely missing the point. First of all, I never said I agree with her decisions or how she plans to vote. I am looking specifically at the controversy surrounding how she treated the kids. None of you are really addressing that, you’re just pissed at her attitude towards the GND. Her attitude and Pelosi’s attitude are a separate video and topic. I’m specifically talking about how she treated these kids. I wasn’t pro MAGA hat just because I defended the Covington kids and I’m not pro-Feinstein just because I’m defending her behavior. She treated them like she would treat us. She said no, she was firm, she defended her position. She was as rude to them as she would have been to us. Everyone is making a big deal about her treatment of KIDS, but she didn’t treat them like kids she treated them how she would treat any group who came to confront her about her vote. That’s the ONLY point of this video. I at least respect her saying flat out no. I’m sick of being placated and lied to by Democrats. At least Republicans come out and say no we can’t have nice things. Democrats lie to our faces and then vote the opposite behind our backs and I’m SHOCKED many of you are actually advocating for her to have done that. You actually wanted her to lie to these kids? I prefer my enemies to flat out tell me they are my enemy than to be stabbed in the back.

If you become blinded with rage at the site of an establishment democrat how does that make you any different than a mainstream democrat who becomes blinded with rage when they hear Russia?

Just because she spoke to them like adults doesn't mean she wasn't condescending and belittling. She basically said there's no hope for environmental sustainability and there's no hope for future generations, while offering no resolution. She is a bought and paid for political hack. She's also a billionaire who is completely out of touch.

I think she was really rude, She could have at least hopped around it and been like “well I’ll consider it once the bill is actually written” but no she chose to be like “WELL I WON AN ELECTION SO SCORE 1 ME SCORE 0 YOU”

But it’s no wonder she won’t support the green new deal, she’s taken money from the oil companies and she has made pledges to them, so why would she? This is why people need to pay attention to where the money is going when they vote.

Big fan, but I couldn't disagree more. Sure, she might have spoke to them like adults, but that doesn't mean she wasn't rude. In the parts of the video you didn't show, she also says that they aren't technically her constituents because they aren't old enough to vote yet. She doesn't actually refute any of their arguments with any meaningful responses, but instead says basically "I'm old and a politician, so trust me, I know better than you". She was very dismissive and generally came off as uncaring, I think.

My outrage comes from the hypocritical BS of "we don't have the money for this" while voting for a $700 billion military budget.
Also, the nonsense of b/c republicans won't pass it, there's no point in pursuing it. That gives republicans a pass where they don't
even have to defend their actions!

The original video is like 15 minutes long. You can her her say things like “I’ve been doing this for 30 years”, “Why don’t you run for the senate?” or “You come in here and say ‘it’s my way or the highway’”. The 2 minute clip initially posted by the Sunrise movement contained all those parts and had them accused of doctoring the video. The one you showed had almost none of the bad parts in it, but it’s also just a fifth or so of the full-length video. If you watch the full one, I hope you feel a little differently about the issue.

I agree that she was not particularly disrespectful to the kids more than she is disrespectful to adults. And therein lies the problem. She is equally disrespectful to all Americans, including kids. It is the VOTERS way or the highway. She only respects the donors, period. She reeks of hubris, privilege and arrogance from every pore. She needs to go! The parents there probably voted for Feinstein and not the Justice Democrat candidate Allison Hartson. I hope they learnt their lesson... Also, I like your addition to Youtube. I also listen to The Rational National, Humanist Report, TYT and Secular Talk. Nice to have progressive female voice in the mix...

I understand some of what you are saying Kim. However, the second she started to show defensive mechanisms & body language, Sen. Feinstein then became belittling. Yes, we understand it takes the majority of the Senate with the majority of Republicans to pass legislation, yet the older teen says it logically in saying (paraphrase), then vote yes even if it does not pass, and then draft new legislation.

Feinstein is a billionaire that will be 90 yrs old at the end of her term. Her children and grandchildren etc will never want for anything.
Feinstein has lost touch with how difficult the lower 98% have it in America.
