Lovely performance and Gary Moore one of my favourite guitar players Great feel and execution From thin lizzy to solo stuff, I love Gary Moore and may he rest in peace and hopefully jamming with all the greats that have gone and left us with beautiful music BB king and Lucille just a force of emotion and feeling and kingfish seems to be carrying on the legacy of that feeling. The thrill has gone maybe means the feeling of when u wake up and the fire and passion becomes the norm and people stop trying cos the have got u, So all the stuff that was done to get eachother goes out of the window Thus the thrill has gone
Keep up the great work Love this channel

I've seen this a number of times and the more I see it, the better it gets. Two of the all time greats doing what they do best.

Had to watch this again, I'm not an emotional guy by any stretch of the imagination... but stuff like this just hits different. Can't stop smiling while watching this.

Thank the lord that money wasn't an issue putting on this gig. We would've missed out on one of the, if not the absolute, best call & response succession dances we've ever heard.

Lovely clip - brilliant players and wonderful interaction.

Two quick thoughts - I love the John Mayer/Keith Urban live cover of Don't Let Me Down, which is a similar euphoric interaction.

And as for naming guitars, the thought that popped to mind was something Paul Mccartney said. You sit at a piano and you effectively push it away form you. You sit at drums and you hit them. Whereas a guitar, you pull it into yourself and caress it... Perhaps that's why people tend to name that instrument but not others.

I got to see BB at a blues festival in ‘98; amazing set. He’s such an evocative player, just such emotion behind every note. Great performance! And if we’re naming guitars… maybe just name them all Bob. That way you’ll always be right and you won’t mix up the names 😁

Speaking of Thin Lizzy, when I was a kid, when I first saw Prince (must have been either Little Red Corvette or 1999 video) I thought he was Phil Lynott with a new band LOL

This is a piece I’ve always enjoyed. It’s a great interaction. Youre right, they are very respectful of one another, the personalities of them both shine through.
Yeah Gary filled in for Thin Lizzy after they lost Eric Bell mid tour. Gary didn’t stay long, he had issues with the amount of recreational substances. He went back a few times and wrote a few songs, I think maybe co wrote Still In Love With You. He was definitely on the Black Rose album.
Great upload again Bryan. Great references too. 😉👌🏻👌🏻

You mentioned Kenny Rogers in the video. Did you know Prince wrote a song for Kenny? It’s called You’re My Love. Prince’s demo of the song is on his Originals album that was released after he passed. His demo’s of other songs such as Manic Monday are on the album as well.

Naming guitars: Gary played two 59 les pauls. Named Greeny and Stripe. Greeny might be the most famous Les Paul around:-)

Gary Moore bought Greeny off Peter Green for 300 pounds and played it for 25 years. It has a unique tone. Gary later sold Greeny due to finance issues. It was later put up for sale for 2 million and sat around not being played for several years. Kirk Hammett of Metallica fame got offered it and bought it for a little under 2 million and plays it often. He comments that it is quite worn from Gary Moore's fingers but still retains that unique tone. Thus it is in great hands now. RIP Gary & BB King.
