The game is a little content dry but with what it has I find it very fun. It’s cool being able to pin any 2 Dino’s you want together to fight it out. It’s also sad seeing them die. I had watermelon, one of the first Dino’s you get and a small one, who’s pattern kinda looked like a watermelon. I had him for a while, but sadly he died last night when I was playing of old age. I also had one of my carnivores break out once and they ate 2 people before I could tranquilize him. Let’s just say my ratings went down.

It’s free for Xbox Live Gold Dec 2019. I've wanted this game since it came out. Glad it’s free.
Edit: Played it last night. It's a pretty fun little game. The contols on the Xbox are a little wonky being a controller. But for the most part it's good. Graphics are nice as well. I would recommend this game to not just fans of the series but for people who enjoy park builders in general.

game has shit tonn of potential. just needs more content. things like individual needs and preferences from literally every visitor like in previous JP operation genesis and also dino alpha system where dino AI forms a flock or a herd with alpha and they roam together. it was one of best parts of that game.

So I just got this last week, a year after release, and I'm having a blast with it. It's certainly not a perfect park-builder. As you mentioned, some of the small management options are pretty simplistic there should be more visual customization, but that's tricky with a big license. I'd love to see an update video from you as lots of content has been added. How the dinos perceive their enclosure has had a major revision. It's no Surviving Mars (or even RCT), but it's also really amazing at times. I actually giggled (yes giggled) the first time I rode a gyrosphere through my T-Rex/Brachiasaur/Raptor paddock... just wonderful stuff. JW:E is definitely more than the sum of its sometimes clunky parts.

I was really on the fence about this game... Even after hearing the pros and cons in other places. Was actually leaning towards not buying it.

When I created my first triceratops I said to my partner this was my favourite when I was a kid and low and behold the achievment popped called my favorite as a kid. Kudos to the devs for that one
