I really like this tutorial because it's a result that's realistic for the average person _and_ looks really good. Too often someone who's basically a professional mini painter will make some competition-quality thing but make it seem like it's simple, which leads people to wonder why they're getting worse results, trying to make it better and ending up with something worse.

Wow! You did an amazing job with the paintjob! :0
If you're doing these type of videos I can't wait to see how you would paint for House Marik. They're my favorite :)

One would think that House Steiner uses Steiner blue for their mech paintjobs, wouldn´t you? XD But yeah, there are a lot of interesting shades of blue available.
The great thing about painting BattleTech is that the mechs usually are not as numerous as the models you have in Warhammer games or other TTs.
So you can really focus on each model to get the best result, even to the point where you make each mech intentionally slightly different to represent the different MechWarriors.

That amazon list is so helpful! Thank you for taking the time to put that together. I mean, I know you get affiliate stuff from it, but still!

Vallejo paints are quite good as well.

To be sure all paint ranges have their heroes and villains though.

I see a lot of people in videos, after priming and basing coats, start on washes, pin washes, weathering etc. No gloss or semi gloss varnish before starting the weathering and details?
