Look at this program. It is written by AI.
One sure sign of such a program is an abundance of detailed commentary.
People don't do that.
In April 2024, many German companies were attacked by information stealer malware.

Sumsub — empowering compliance and anti-fraud teams to fight money laundering, terrorist financing, and online fraud.

"How could you tell it was written by AI?"
"It's actually commented well"

The hacker is too lazy even to delete the comments 😂

Guess all my code is now considered "AI code" because of all my commented lines

The Libertarian in me HATES regulation, having fought for online privacy for almost 25 years- this makes me ask: "MUST we implement penalties for those who release it?” Machines generating it are inevitable, but applying penalties for not building safeguards into them may be necessary. Yes, i do find it cringeworthy.

... how is this malicious? Also you need a compiler to be able to execute it from source code. If it is shown as an example you really could do better there without alarming youtube algorithm

That powershell script is loading a .NET assembly into memory directly and triggering the main function. Personally, that script is pretty junior stuff. Things you would use to practice. APT techniques are way more advanced and would probably be closer to impossible to figure out the source code. Even if it’s a powershell or compiled code.

"Detailed comments == AI"
*looks at average "professional code"*
Seems legit

I comment everything because my ADHD makes me constantly forget what i was doing, and i don't feel like relearning everything everytime i open up an ide.

This is just BS. AI is only capable to write code humans could too. Someone trained the AI to simply create a script based on human input. It did not created it.

Wait but don’t compilers remove all comments before compiling to save space? I’m not a programmer, but a senior programmer said to me that, “comments are the first thing removed when you compile the code” so wouldn’t they all be deleted before the code is sent?

Maybe it’s not compiled and can run without a compiler, but I thought most modern programming languages need one to run on an average system?

Yeah I put a ton of comments in my shit too. They’re not always accurate but they’re there.
