Thanks so much, Matt! I've watched part 1 twice and just went through part 2. As a new and confused owner of a Sony FX30, these videos are a lifesaver. After watching videos from you and others about the difference between S-Log3 and S-Cinetone, and your video on "how to EASILY film in Sony's S-Cinetone Picture Profile", I decided to stick with S-Cinetone for now.

I was hoping to find a video on your channel on how to set up the camera for S-Cinetone AND customize the buttons for that profile. In case anyone misses their shutter button half press function to AF, this is in an unexpected area of the FX30/FX3 settings. It is disabled with "REC w/ Shutter" on and it's not in the AF/MF menu or Custom Key/Dial Settings.. it's the last item under Settings > Operation Customize > REC w/ Shutter. Hope that's helpful for anyone who realizes it's disabled with these settings!

Can you set a whole M-setting (like slow motion) to a custom button?

if you put the camera in variable shutter (anti flicker) you can set the shutter speed exactly to 48 for 24fps :) - this is something the FX3, A7siii, and a7iv can’t do.

the explanations are great and the preset file to get a new user up and running was an amazing gift. Do you have any work around for not be able to capture a custom white balance (apparently not allowed when using a memory setting). thanks for all the tips

I bought an A6700 to use as a gimbal camera/travel camera along side with my FX30. I've set it up similar to your recommended FX30 settings but it would be great to see an A6700 setup guide.
