This makes sense to me, because I have experienced the odd case of anaphylaxis in the past. In January of 2021 I experienced two anaphylaxis shock events and ended up in the ER for prednisolone. I was certain that I had an MCAS condition because the symptoms for MCAS were so close to what I was experiencing with COVID-19 long haulers. I began a diet free of histamine triggering foods and improvement happened within a few days.
My blood was tested and evaluated by a hematologist, but he wasn't buying the MCAS theory. I have continued treating it like an MCAS mitochondria dysfunction issue and feel improvement to be around 99%.
