I really like this version of Percival.

In the legends, Percival had Galahad and Bors to accompany him on the Grail quest. Here, he traveled for 20 years all on his own, losing his youth, his friends, and even his armor along the way. Yet, despite all of this, he never gave up hope and succeeded where the others had failed.

Ok this brought tears to my eyes.It's so sad that so many great actors from this great movie have passed away...and a lot of them so young.Paul Geoffrey (Percival), Nigel Terry (Arthur), Nicol Williamson (Merlin), Nicholas Clay (Lancelot), Robert Addie (Mordred), Niall O'Brien (Kay)... but that's life.And it's the beauty of film that immortalizes their work with us and future generations. God bless their souls forever.This movie is a big part of who i am and i will be forever grateful to everyone who worked on it.

All King Arthur's knights had great qualities - but Perceval had purity of heart - thus he saw what the others could not.

Perceval most humblest knight, most faithful and loyal of all knights. Saw this when I was a teen. Man, that’s a good movie.

This movie made a lasting impression of me. I started to tear up as I watched the final scene. I was just a boy when I first saw "Excalibur" and I never forgot it. I was able to purchase the DVD about 5 years ago. This movie is beautifully filmed, in all ways. John Boorman did the best job and no one has been able to best him. This film stands, even to this day.

A beautiful tribute to Perceval, Brought tears to my eyes seeing Uryens die. The passing of the torch is beautiful to see. Uryens knighted Arthur, and Arthur knighted Percival and then Uryens died in Percevals arms. Perceval reminds me of the young Arthur, both very naive and unassuming, honest and humble. If he was worthy of the Holy grail then perhaps he was worth of Excalibur. Perhaps he should have kept it, and it was feit or destiny that he should take it after Arthurs death as he was the last man left. He survived every test. But being a man of his word with a sense of duty, he did as has King Commanded.

Arthur and his knights were great heros, but Perceval was THE hero.

Some of the symbolism in this movie is amazing Mordred and Morgana invert everything good into bad and turn life into death. I like the analogy of the tree of life turning to the tree of death with all the knights hanging from the branches.

Sir Percivals' innocence made him the greatest Knight. He was naive to 'the world' which in turn did not corrupt his moral nature. GOD, HIMSELF, tested all the knights and assigned him to be the keeper of the Holy Grail because GOD knew that Sir Percival was worthy because of his purity of heart. GOD grants HIS power Only to those whom HE knows won't misuse it for their own selfish gain or purpose. Like it says in The Holy Bible... a man's heart is the most evil of all things. In his humbleness, Sir Percival was GODS chosen champion.

In this day and age "the pure of heart" are oppressed and targeted. I mean nothing but good for people but in return I get laughed at, ridiculed, lied upon, my life threatened as well as my family. I am not perfect by any means but when you try your best to spread goodwill & positivity, & blessings you expect good things in return! When those actions are countered with malice, envy, and darkness, and people devising evil. It truly makes me question the current state of humanity and common decency. May GOD, HIMSELF redeem me from the evil in peoples hearts and souls. I pray for this community everyday and I receive deceitfulness, hatred, and evil intent in return. I will continue praying because that is what The Creator, The Almighty GOD orders me to do.
