Wow! Which rock have I been living beneath? Never heard this song before. Wonderful video clip, a real treasure. Geez, what a super pairing, and it was all the way back in '86, too.

Then again, just recently, I'm discovering all of this amazing video material of Elton on Australia TV that I previously had no clue about. Lucky Australia, he apparently did so much more in the way of significant interviews over there.

Elton with the Mets hat. He wears that same hat often in the Tour de Force documentary that was shot right around the time that this video would have been shot. In Tour de Force he often paired the Mets hat with a New York football Giants jersey (#64, Jim Burt, always wondered why Burt given that was not a popular jersey). Both teams ended up winning championships that year and Elton had spent the summer and autumn of ‘86 in the States; so one can imagine him following US sport with more interest than usual.
