I'm so happy and honored to be swedish and be the one who gave KAJ this opportunity to widespread fame.
And it"s really unusual not to be hated by the Eurovision fans for once.

There are a lot of stereotypes about people from different places and some times there is a hint of truth in them as well. People in Ostrobothnia are hard working people. In fact it is the region with one of the lowest unemployment in Finland. Ostrobothnians have as many Finns suffered hardship through the years and to counterbalance this there has grown a sense of humor among the people. Ostrobothnia have been hard ht during the Great and Little Unreast in the 18th century, during the Finnish war or 1808-1809 war and as late as 150 years ago by famine. A famine that killed almost 30 000 people, which is a large number compared to how many people lived here. Vörå and Korsholm were strongly represented during them civil war on the white side by small farmers. Again fighting of the Russian instigation. There is no misstake that the statue of Finnish liberty is found on the square of Vasa.

This have grown a mentality that if things go bad, maybe not the wars and famine but the smaller things, and at some point you tend to joke about it and get back and make a new. with this also comes a touch of selfironi. It is not a unique treat in the world but also in contrast to many other places. It is not common everywhere in Finland but in many places it is. People might complain a lot but eventually are contempt with what they have. I.e. the happiest nation in the world. A mix of german structure and work moral of a Finn, and the friendliness and liberal views of a Swede topped with some humor and there you have an stereotype of an Ostrobothnian.

When KAJ is singing and joking in dialect it is showing this friendliness and happiness, and at the same time some proud self ironi hillbillyness, and humbleness of that we are not so many but we are still here. The work moral can be seen in the professional quality productions. I am so proud of our small corner in the world hettingnthis much attention abroad.

And usually when the scheduled shows are sold out they just put in one and another more at the same arena🤫😂! And as they say: we are living our dream!

I just hope that even if they don't win people will keep supporting them. Either way I think their performance will be iconic for years to come. Just as the Saxophone Guy. I mean just think of it.. when it's time for Sweden's entry.. the first thing people will see is a sausage being barbequed! It's insane 😂
