How To Get A 100 Subscribers on YouTube - 5 Step Process

Want to get your first 100 subscribers on YouTube? I'm going to share with you a five-step process that I've used to get over 100 subscribers on my YouTube channel.

I've used this system across six different channels and it's been proven to work. So, whether you're just starting out on YouTube or you're struggling to get subscribers, this video is for you.

Step 1: Have a Clear Audience in Mind

Before you start creating videos, it's important to have a clear idea of who you want to watch your videos. If you don't know who your target audience is, you'll always struggle in your YouTube journey. Even if your channel does take off, it'll be difficult to monetize it if you don't have a target audience in mind.

For example, I have a channel that's just for filmmaking, another one for creative people using apps like Photoshop, and another one for people who have an iPhone and want to get the most out of it. I thought about who I wanted watching my videos first before making videos.

Step 2: Increase retention and watch time

One of the best ways to get YouTube to recommend your videos is by increasing watch time and audience retention. An easy way to do this is by adding additional graphics, images and videos to your YouTube videos during the editing process.

Step 3: Make Search-Based Content

A really easy way to get discovered on YouTube is by creating search-based content. YouTube is a search engine and people use it to find answers. You can use tools like Tubebuddy to see what people are searching for and come up with video ideas. As long as they serve your target audience and fit your interest, you can use this method for years to come.

Step 4: Make Better Thumbnails

One of the best ways to get people to click on your video is by having the best possible thumbnail you can make. You can always improve your thumbnail. Right now, compare your thumbnail against channels that make similar content. Is it similar in quality? If not, you should really focus on making better thumbnails.

Step 5: Ask Your Viewers to Subscribe

As you get clicks and views, it's important to give a clear call to action to someone watching. One of the best ways to do this is to ask someone to subscribe by giving them a clear reason at the beginning of the video. You can also create a really easy subscribe link.

good advice! nothing really new, but still it's good to get a confirmation you're doing the correct things... And I just made the 100 subscribers, so can confirm it really works.

The shorts are the most important right now... At first I just did 2 or 3 shorts each week and they were teasers for my long videos. Didn't work. Now I make at least 7 of them each week and while some are still teasers, others are small stories by themselves or dance content. And they all include a request to subscribe. Works like a charm!
