The ad revenues from shorts is absolute garbage. We earn about 2 cents per 1, 000 views, its totally worthless. To make matter even worse, Youtube is taking traffic away from standard videos to promote shorts.

Whoever is reading DONT give up on your channel. Think about all the hard work that you have already put in. Every youtuber was once in your spot they just kept going. Since youtube launched SHORTS, they no longer push long format videos like they used to, this makes creator's revenue declined significantly. It's time to move to Facebook

Maybe views at certain times or days get a higher payout price per view and in times where there aren't as many active users the price given per view drops lower. But on average over say a year then it equalls what they state the rate is?
