With the movie being a secret sequel to Unbreakable, fans got super excited when a third movie, Glass was announced. It's called integration therapy and overtime along with regular therapy it help reintegrate the alters back into the primary personality and recover their lost memories.

According to the documentaries and articles I've seen, it's actually pretty normal for people with multiple personalities to keep a diary as a way to communicate with their alters and/or keep track of what they have been doing, so it makes sense that this character would keep a video diary. It's definetely possible that not all the alters would participate in the diary, but it just depends on the person and their specific alters.
Sorry if I'm using the wrong terminology, by the way. I'm not super familiar with the condition.
