How the Priesthood Works

Have you ever wondered about the purpose of the priesthood? What is it? How does it really work?

Elder Dale G. Renlund, an Apostle of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, likens the priesthood to a rocket. The payload or cargo of the rocket is like the power of the Savior’s atoning sacrifice. All of God’s children are in need of this sacred healing power. The true purpose of the priesthood is to launch and deliver the opportunity to benefit from Christ’s atoning power to all of God’s children.

“The atoning power of Jesus Christ is essential because none of us can return to our heavenly home without help. In mortality, we invariably make mistakes and violate God’s laws. We become stained by sin and cannot be allowed back to live in God’s presence. We need the Savior’s atoning power so that we can be reconciled to Heavenly Father. … We have the priesthood so that we can help Heavenly Father’s children be relieved of the burden of sin and become like Him.” —Elder Dale G. Thank you LDS Youth for making this simple yet insightful message. The analogy in this video helps me understand the depth of priesthood power and authority. The satellite system is a valuable tool when it can get to the outer space and begins to function. Today, many types of communication such as GPS rely on the satellite in order to help people in their daily activities. Similiarly, each man who hold the priesthood of God and strive to live worthily will be an instrument in God's hands to bless lives of people around him and help him to find a meaningful, purposeful life.

It's quite the ironic time to play this with a Soyuz rocket and talk about failure when the Soyuz just did that because someone messed up with the ball joint. and that one of the fins fell off and caused the rocket to go out of control when that is exactly what happened in the Soyuz launch when one of its boosters sent the rocket to spin out of control. Ironic right!

Cause you need a rocket to get the necessary atonement to everyone. Like loving, serving, and faith aren't enough to light people up with God's light and for them to access the atonement. Great plan Heavenly Father of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Give .001% of the population the only power and authority to administer the necessary blessings of the atonement.

It has been determined by this individual that I do not want the priesthood. I dont believe its important to be ordained. God didnt need a human concept of power to be God. So i dont believe God has a priesthood
