Really fun to see your analysis of my scenes! There's only one guy who knows who Saul is or will be in The Chosen or future series. His name rhymes with chalice.

Shmuel is from Capernaum and Saul is from Tarsus which was in Asia (Asia Minor) now Turkey.

Shmuel will pay Judas to expose Jesus, that is who he is. He is not Saul.

Saul never knew Jesus while Jesus was alive, so Shmuel cannot be Saul. Let’s also not forget that Saul persecuted Christians. I don’t think Schmuel has it in him to be that cruel. Also, Saul was from Tarsus, whereas Shmuel is from Capernaum. Too many discrepancies.

I have learned so much about scripture since watching the Chosen and watching your show. It is a wonderful feeling!

I think Schmuel will be the one to had Judas the 30 pieces of silver. I think Atticus will say “Truly this was the Son of God.”

The very best line for me in the scene with Shmuel and Jesus is when Jesus says "she is preparing my body for burial". Shmuel and Judas don't pay any attention and fly off the handle, and then there's this little moment where Yusuf looks at Jesus and says "for burial?" he was the only one really paying attention. The look Jesus gave him was heartbreaking.

it makes more sense that Shmuel is a contemporary of Gamaliel, that they share seats on the Sanhedrin, and that he is an influence on Saul as part of the Hillel school

After watching Season 4 - I’m getting the sense that Shmuel will continue to be against Jesus until Season 7 - after the Resurrection he will be one of the Pharisees who come to believe.

In 1st Corinthians 15:8, Paul says, "And last of all ...I also saw him. [Jesus]." So Saul's encounter with Jesus on the way to Damascus was the first time he met Jesus.

I think that once Shmuel witnesses the trial, crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus, he losses all doubt, sees that Jesus fulfills scripture and is the Messiah and he becomes a believer.

I can see Schmuel finding Judas hanging and crumpling in a heap and sobbing his heart out. I cannot see him as Paul!

Shmuel can not be Saul of Tarsus because he said that Capernaum is his home town, when he just got to Jerusalem.

if the chosen makes Shmuel to be Saul then they go againts the Bible.
Shmuel can be connected in some way, shape or form to Saul, but he can not be Saul.

Brandon, I think Shmuel will be the one that pays Judas to betray Jesus. I think the man at the raising of Laz that we see who is covered, is going to be Saul/Paul.

Shmuel's likely the one who pays Judas to turn Jesus in. He clearly saw at the supper that Judas covets gold. Shmuel is also from Capernaum, not Tarsus.

I truly love The Chosen series! So beautiful how they portray the complexities of everyone’s emotions with coming to terms with what Jesus and God ask of us. How hard it is to understand why things are done for others and not for you in specific moments in your life. Just so beautiful and I cry so much watching these episodes!
Thank you so much for your hard work sir I love your breakdowns on this masterpiece!😅❤

We all know the REAL story or at least know where to find it. the Chosen is a show for entertainment and hopefully inspiration. Saul theory doesn’t make sense to me and doubt Dallas would write such an unlikely twist even with his creative writing of plausible scenarios. I love The Chosen and bye the way Episode 7 of season 4 is my ALL TIME FAVORITE 😊

He’s not Saul. I’m now convinced Shmuel is the one who slaps Jesus during their trial.

People seem to forget that Saul never met Jesus when he was on earth. Also, they seem to be setting up Shmuel as the one who pays Judas to betray Jesus. Finally, not sure why they didn't include the parable Jesus tells when Simeon complains about Mary washing Jesus's feet. I feel like Shmuel is in place of him.
