Considering that VR technology is still relatively new and some people still haven't played a VR headset yet, it is definitely worth it for people who are unsure that they want to get into virtual reality gaming. I personally only play beat saber and the les mils bodycombat game, and i imagine some people might get the system for that one game they're itching to play.

Yes the Q2 is still worth buying in 2024, I bought mine when it came out 3.5 years ago, just so I could play HL Alyx. Just wanted a cheap headset, was looking at samsung Odyssey plus, but opted for Quest 2, so happy I did. The Quest 2 is so different now than when it first came out, through updates, keeping the Q2 relevant today.

One of my roommates friend ended up selling me his quest 2 last night for $100. He got it from his sister. He told me her ex-boyfriend bought it for her but gave it to him. I was joking around about it but for $100 I couldn't pass it up

I have just bought my Quest 2 last year used even though I was aware of the Quest 3 coming out. Since i was not yet sure about VR, I just went with the cheaper option. And it did not disappoint. I may start saving for a Quest 3 perhaps in just a few months since I am loving VR more and more. Though the Quest 2 is still the best decision I ever made as it allowed me to experience VR right away at a fraction of the cost.

Definitely better than buying a Q3 right now. Why has nobody addressed the issue that thousands of Q3 owners are dealing with? Namely, the water/debris error message bug.

Great to see you back. I agree 1st time VR is quest 2 is amazing but if you touch pcvr 1 time it's very hard to go back. It's even hard to pull the trigger to save for a quest 3 because that takes a beefy gpu for pcvr

If you are going to live in vr get the 3, if you don’t use it that much like once a week mostly for a paperweight get the quest 2 . I have the quest 3 and I don’t use it that much I could’ve kept my quest 2 . I thought the reason I didn’t use my quest 2 that much because of the graphics now I understand I’m not into VR that much but will watch a NBA game or a concert every now and then .

VR really is a good workout. I absolutely underestimated that at first. But there is a good chance you'll feel a bit exhausted after a while of playing any remotely intense game.

i bought a quest 3 recently and its amazing, i tried a quest 2 and that was amazing too but, if you have the money for a quest 3 and want longer software support, go for it, if you dont, a quest 2 will do just fine, i havent been able to fully get use out of my quest 3 since im in a cramped living space right now but once i have some room im very excited to try out my copy of Asgards Wrath 2

The Quest 2 is definitely worth it if you don't already have experience with VR, or a stupid amount of money to try it with--and I say this as a person who, as I've said more than once--really disliked the Quest 2.

After all, I got MY start in VR with an old phone and a $30 "headset" from Amazon! From there, I went to a used Samsung Gear (which was actually defective), then got the Go, jumped at getting the Quest 1, picked up a Rift S, then a G2 (all sold away at pretty good prices, because I take care of my stuff)... and now have a Pico 4, Quest 3, AND the PSVR2.

And I'm hankering to at least try the BigScreen Beyond-- and some time to enjoy my headsets, if I can find any.

From little acorns can come big, make-your-credit-card-cry, oaks... 😂

PS: I've never had the issues with the Fresnels that many people seem to have; my issues have tended to be more with the comfort, or lack thereof, of the headsets, and how they can shift and mess with the visuals if you don't have the perfect head strap and/or facial interface.

As a quest 2 user in 2024, I think its ABSOLUTELY worth it. The graphics are cool and it has a nice hardware look, along with most games being available.

I'm still using my mine. if you don't mind about 256gb, you are good! I mostly watch and stream adult stuff on it. On the gaming side, still handles a lot

Meta quest 2 elite strap is a must now that the price is cheaper. I looked at the quest 3 but too expensive and the elite strap is crazy price.
