If you run portable OBS like I do, these upgrade problems are easily avoidable.

I have OBS portable installed on my F:\ drive and when I want to upgrade anything. I simply make an archive of the whole obs-studio directory using WinRAR or WinZip if you prefer that.

I then do the upgrade and if something is broken. I simply delete the obs-studio directory and unpack the archive I created previously. That way I am back up and running to how things were within a minute.

Furthermore for me personally. I won't upgrade until all the issues are fixed and all my plugins work with it.

hmm surprisingly I didn't have to do any backup. After reverting, my presets are still there.

my stream deck plugin now wont work on obs 27.2.4. Any thoughts on how to fix? I installed a previous stream deck version but no joy. It wouldnt let me select the OBS scenes

I was wondering if there is some sort of tool that tells us how much of resources are being used either by each plugin or scene or source?

We're starting to use so many awesome plugins, I wan't to start making sure I am using the effectively such that it won't affect frames dropped due to rendering or encoding lag from resources running low.

I have OBS 28 on my Gaming laptop....loads of issues!! and when you think you've solved something my OBS Crashes a minute or two after connecting to Skype / Zoom / Teams including Twitch YouTube or anything really!! Even without SteamFX....it works fine with OBS 27...so until it works on the laptop I daren't update on my PC. Portable OBS 28 on the PC gives me the same issues and Move Transition also does't do what it's supposed to!! (i7 12 Gen - RTX 3070ti - 32 Gb Ram....Win 11 should run fine)
