Don't let what happened at the beginning of the day ruin the rest of your day.

The Beginning of the day:

As a Branded player:
Branded Albion to 1 would've mattered.
Sanctifire ban would've mattered.
Carte limit would've mattered.
Granguinol limit/ban would've mattered.
GPNightmare+Ido ban would've mattered.

Branded Fusion limit does not matter.

This banlist is the exact example of a before and after of a product that doesn’t work.

Pokemon, Lorcana, One Piece, and Magic just got a bunch of new players.

You’d think it be GP or Sanctifire but Konami does a F in the chat

Thats it. Im quitting Yu-Gi-Oh i can't do this. The restriction list has helped in no way. Its so insulting how they did this in a way that nothing actually happened. They're punishing us for speaking out. I f7cking quit

6:24 Respectfully, this doesn't kill the ftk. It just makes it that now we have to rely on the field spell more to acquire the ftk. The limit only hurts the consistency of it

Maybe this is the list that will let the community protest. For such an important list it is probably the worst list in a while. The meta hasn't changed. Tenpai, Snake-eye and Yubel are still undeniably the best decks and essentially unchanged except for the endboard of SE being a bit weaker. Prepare for another absolute trash format

New banlist and snake eyes is still the best deck. Apo died for the sins of said deck.

Not nearly as bad as the last ban list but as a budget rogue player these hits hurt us more than anything else.

This banlist changes few to none things. Konami should make a shift with something like a new format as other TCG does: You can only play cards for 1 archetype you choose. Additionally, you can play 1 type of each card that isn’t for that archetype (Monster, Magic, Trap)

This would end completely the nonsense of 20-30 generic stuff that every single deck has nowadays, and people would have fun trying to get as much potential as posible with only one deck, not a mix of everything… But that’s my opinion 🤷‍♂️

These are the things I Truly want Konami to implement and improve upon for the tcg. Printing methods for the core sets and side sets that mirror the OCG. Scheduled banlist like the OCG. Full art cards and better prize support possibly use full art cards or championship exclusive rarities of staple cards for prizing. Less power creep over all. Like reducing the power creep by at least half as much as they have been doing. To give older decks more viable power.

More legacy support on a faster basis for fan favorite archetypes. Better time rules, and more support for time wizard formats and alternative formats. Also bring back Konami official cloth mats for tournament prize support.

No more tier 0 formats. Diverse meta’s and one practical way that Konami could implement this is once a year or once every 2 years we need to do a dualist alliance or power of the elements style set that introduces multiple viable tier 1 and tier 2 brand new archetypes with dynamic play styles and then follow up that core set with at least 3 consecutive sets that add support for those archetypes and then introduce a Rise of the dualist type of set that releases great new staplese cards for the game. Also print new tier 1-2 structure decks close to the release of that critical new core set for budget players, and a way for new players to easily get into the game. That way we get a rotation of archetypes with new support and new staples that are powerful and needed.

There are still way too many cards that are problematic
Konami, as always, doesn't do enough

As Gimmick Puppet player, you can still FTK, but now you need the Field Spell.
Suprised they limit both 40 & C40

Banlist does literally nothing to the game except stop fiendsmith from cheesing time rules

Here’s my thoughts on the list

For the forbidden section, nothing really objectionable here, all the hits I more or less saw coming, and overall I do think that they’re good hits. I think it’s unfortunate that Appo got hit, as I feel like generic boss monsters can have a place in this game, especially as I see cool rogue decks like Lightsworn which generate a lot of on-field advantage but don’t have boss monsters of their own to go into. That being said, it does match with what little of a design philosophy Konami seems to have for this game in moving away from powerful generic boss monsters, and I would be thrilled to see them perhaps replace these with maybe some less powerful versions.

Limited section is pretty lukewarm. I can’t say that it’s necessarily bad, but I don’t feel like I can say it’s a bullseye either. The most it really does is kill the gimmick puppet ftk, which while I’m happy about that, I feel like it really could’ve been utilized better. Branded Fusion is extremely searchable and arguably makes the Nightmare problem worse, as not only is that line virtually untouched, but now because you only get the one copy of Fusion, there’s way more pressure have it end the game, so the lock becomes practically mandatory. Before, you could actually see a great deal of success with the deck without locking thanks to the multiple interactions the deck could put up, provided you actually knew what you were doing.

Overall, this list feels pretty meh. Like, it’s not bad, but I feel a bit teased having to wait til what feels like the last minute only to be met with this. Maybe I’m wrong and this list ends up being really good, but right now it’s a bit hard to feel anything more than indifferent.

I hope we get dragon ruler support, like a dark and light version, we seen something like this happen when element sabres got introduced, grandsoils was released and then got support
