To me, it's not that rogue deck players "relied" on generic cards. It's more like their next to only option was to play generic cards so that their deck could be played. The hits to Baronne and Savage hurts many ideas i have had these past few days, and there's not really much of a way to replace them in a lot of those decks. But, there's always meta. I'll just play FKSE until they actually get hit.

Fantastic start Konami should've kept proto and colossus banned but whatever its a start towards getting rid of ALL generic extra deck boss monster's that way every extra deck isnt just copy paste

Engage was banned because of how orcust was abusing it. That isolde play was when dark warrior was a thing before orcust actually got to full power.

I always have had the belief that some of the most powerful effects should be balanced by making them difficult to use outside of a archetype they were specifically designed for...
And so many problems are often a result of and difficult to balance around cards that have powerful effects that are way to open, generic, and or easy to summon, leaving them vulnerable to abuse by any deck that can feasibly afford the space.
That is also not accounting for decks that had critical support cards be made unplayable ala Bans and restrictions, because they were also made generic enough to a point that a unrelated deck found a way to abuse those cards in a way not intended or were otherwise unhealthy for game balance, leaving the deck that needed those cards to be atleast on even footing on even a casual level in a broken and sad state...

Nibiru being a METEOR again is nice, it is so much stronger now, some decks have monster spam for days but some are way weaker with nib having less of a check.

Tbh Baronne didn’t really need a ban as it really only needed an errata. The reason a lot of people hate it is because it’s an Omni negate that takes generic materials. If it just had a restriction on its summon like needing Fleur Synchron then it would’ve probably dodged the ban list

Yea kuriboh and savage are really good cards but nowhere near ban worthy. So versatile not being archetype locked, and actually hurts those playing rokkets, all because of ONE deck type that likes to abuse those cards. Shouldve been limited, and absolutely dumb banning barrone right after they reprinted it and made it ridiculously accessible. Like i said shouldve been limited and with the current format, the list was lackluster and hurt more than balanced things out for most.
