Philipp Sauter: The Nuclear Threat in Ukraine

For the first time in history, a war takes place in a country with nuclear infrastructure. In this presentation Philipp Sauter, Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law, focuses on the legal framework concerning nuclear power plants during war. By addressing issues with both nuclear law and international humanitarian law he demonstrates how the international legal system is not prepared for such an unprecedented situation.
