In Italy we choose the long cycle (especially the "ECO" - ecological ones) because they use way less power compared to a quick wash! 😉 Also we never open the dishwasher when it has just finish the cycle because the steam ruins the kitchen furniture over time 😃

I found all these tips very useful. Thanks. My son came out with the bols placement method when he started doing the dishes: it works like a charm. Rinsing is only necessary when the food is crusty dry: so, I am schooling the kids to load their used dishes right away to avoid the drying Also inspecting and cleaning the side rubbers is a must, depending of the frequency of usage. And read the owner's manual: that will give you an 'Aha' moment. It's boring but a sure way to fully enjoy your appliance.

I have a third rack on the top of my dishwasher for ladles, spatulas, etc.

Great tips.

I use Finish dishwasher cleaner to clean my dishwasher. It’s great.

After mine has finished I open the door for a couple of hours & then everything is dry.

We got our slimline dishwasher after my Dad won some money on spot the ball competition. Best thing he ever bought.

Oh my! Thank you so much for showing how to lift the upper rack. Mine is different, but still quite easy. I was always wondering what are these bottom rollers for! I could never wash large dinner plates earlier! Lol!

When you do the monthly clean, check the sprayer arms.
A cocktail stick is useful for dislodging the grains of rice that get stuck inside them

Wonderful tips, thanks! I use the express wash only if I really need certain dishes done quickly for immediate use. The instructions that came with my dishwasher say that the express wash is much less energy efficient than the normal and heavy modes. Even though it takes less time, it uses more water and electricity.

One more tip ;I have the newer style of grates on my kitchen stove and if they get dirty 🤔😆about once a month ) I will stick them on the bottom rack and do a heavy duty wash load and bingo!! I love it 👏👏no more scrubbing on the stovetop grates !!
