Trivia about this scene: As you see in this video's title it says 'Demo Version' this is because the version of 'Eye of the Tiger' used here (known as the 'Demo Version') has never been officially released - the Survivor album and single releases and various Rocky soundtrack albums all feature the standard Survivor studio version, missing the noticeably heavier bass on the power chords and distinctive tiger growls after each chorus.

Sylvester Stallone was so thrilled with the song, dude just went ahead and used it without waiting for a polished studio cut - and that's how the Demo Version became the one uniquely used we can hear in this opening scene

On the 80's, i remembered watching this epic intro hundred of times on a VHS.

This sequel is the best of Rocky movies, because it epitomised the concept of loosing The Eye of the Tiger. When you get comfortable an opponent like Clubber Lang materialised to take the title. Lang was not boxing skill, he was pure power, strength, determined & focused. He was the stage every fighter crosses like Patterson did with Johansson for instance.

This demo version of EoTT is just so damn raw, brutal and demanding: it is like being slugged in the face - it also sounds very dlightly faster... Stallone was so right to insist they just use the demo and not re-record it. You go back over his work and sniff around how he operates, you keep getting reminded of just how very astute, clever and creative Sylvester Stallone actually is....plenty to learn from that man.
