I live in Malta. Winter is chilling here, because there is high humidity and no central heating. It is colder indoors than out, and the water just hangs in the air, soaking clothing and bedding and coating everything else.

I tries all the possibilities of Southern Europe in winter. Just as we learned in school, Warm. Wet and Windy. The ferry from Spain to Morocco takes only one hour, and the weather is just as bad but the Motorway goes all the way South to Agadir. The Atlas Mountain Range separates the cold Northern climate from the warm sunny South . Same climate as the Canary Islands and with vast and luxurious Motorhome sites at a fraction of the cost.

I can’t agree. The Med is too cold in winter. That is why tourism is mostly closed down. 8 of your choices were in the Med.
The only one of your pics that I agree with is your number 1. Canary Islands OK in winter, though I think in all cases, you have over estimated the winter temperatures, in my opinion. I do wonder how many of those places you have actually been to in the winter months.

Only the Canary Islands reach the 20 degree mark on a regular basis in the winter. You also have to remember that UV index is low in winter meaning 15 degrees Celsius in January doesn't feel as warm as 15 degrees Celsius in May.

Canary Islands is the best for a winter escape. The climate is almost the same the whole year round. Swimming in February is no problem. But my number two is Cyprus. Very good for early winter. Water is still 20 C in December.

Great comments! Personally i want to use my car to get the "warmer" location and i am focused on the northern med area. I discovered analyzing the temperature map that the Halkidiki - Kassandra peninsula and turkish coastal areas are the best from the area. I am searching for more details...
