I love that book. Down and Out in Paris and London brought me to figure out other Orwell's books deeper. Since then, I adore Orwell's works, both his books and essays. Speaking for me, Orwell has kind of a same pattern in his works: poverty, workers, and the relation of production. That's the red line for all of his works as long I read some of his books. Currently reading this and I honestly love it so much! I’ve only read up to just before he leaves Paris, and he gives a little reflection of life as a plongeur and questions the necessity of such a life. It a bit of a relief after reading Burmese Days, which I definitely loved but found it a little slow at times. Great book!

Good review. The book is on youtube as an audiobook. I've gone to sleep to it dozens of times, picking a point randomly to start. You are there in his travels. You think you know Boris. It's in my top 5 favorite books.
