NOAA forecasts above-normal hurricane season

It's interesting how the US states expect seasonal hurricanes and wildfires and yet never seriously think of considering building materials that will withstand windspeeds up to 100mph for building compliance and use of non flammable building materials such as masonry block and concrete to withstand these weather conditions. A lot of times structures of concrete and masonry can tolerate wind strengths and fire. Owners with concrete structures may not lose all their belongings in comparison to wood structures

The track of storms originating from the west coast off of Africa looks much further south than usual. I mentioned this as a youtube reply about 3 weeks ago, but got no response from tv stations in Houston and Miami. This pattern of the southern track may be due to persistent dust storms from the Saharan desert and a strong Atlantic high pressure system. Todays hi-res loop of the Atlantic looks this way. It might indicate a way less than normal hurricane season as has been the case so far this season. Hope it continues.
