I love that "Wandavision" hung a lampshade on how old sitcoms handled pregnancies, including not even uttering the word "pregnant." Wanda's birth of the twins goes smoothly, and she doesn't change out of the dress she gave birth in. It makes sense that she'd want to make the birth easier for herself.

How funny is it that I see this while watching the hour-long finale of Mad About You where Jamie finally goes into labor after several false starts? In all fairness, it should get an honorable mention along with Elyse Keaton of Family Ties who went into labor in the middle of her song...and on live television, too.

Quinn's birth is amazing (the thumbnail makes it look like Jesse is also screaming through contractions, which is hilarious) (he did actually get injured, he dropped one of the girls during a lift and her stiletto cut his arm pretty badly, and she says he was bleeding profusely and far more worried that he'd hurt her)
One of my favourites that didn't make it is Chief Vick going into labour in the first series of Psych, in Lassie's car on the way back from a conference, and he's a little too over-solicitous but clueless at the same time, and ends up being her birthing partner, and it's one of the first shows of gentleness you get from Lassie, and also the quiet 'kids are part of why my wife left. She thought I didn't want them. She was wrong.' 'That's great, Carlton, can I have my daughter now?'
