Really cool you guys should do a video about the tolerances you can hold with these printers and how the parts handle finish machining.

It's amazing how far metal 3d printing has come, I remember when it was just those big blocks of metal powder you had to clean out afterwards!

This is amazing. I could have never imagined this technology when I was a child.

No one ever shows stress testing and durability of a 3d part vs standard cast or machined parts.

Nostalgic moment!! I used to sell Markforged printers a few months back. One of the best FDM/ADAM/FFF printers. Insane surface finish. Loved the video and the part.

Just entered the machining world at 21 making couplers and fast guides with .0005" tolerence at RMS Medical. We just got 30 of these printers at our facility and they are MIND BLOWING. No scrap, filament is way easier to manipulate then job stock, and the finish coming off is consistent. In the medical field, you don't want a shiny, smooth finish. You want a rugged finish so the skin has something to adhere to. This is the future of machining as a whole. Mark my words🤷🏼‍♂️

Yea you can pick one of these bad boys up at your local hardware store for (depending on options of course) about 2.5 million. Have a great day and always remember to wear safety glasses 😉

Has anyone done tensile strength testing on 3D printed metal? I would like to see how well it holds up.

It cool to know that nowadays you can 3D print with materials other than plastic.
