I'll never understand why they keep changing the penance stare.

First it was making you feel all the guilt you ever experienced.

Then it's the pain you've inflicted. (Regardless of feeling guilty and the best version imo)

So they decided to make Logan a psychopath? Because only psychopaths don't feel remorse for doing bad things, and Logan is a good person despite his feral side. Also, if the penance stare only punishes those who FEEL guilty, most villains would be immune to it. A better excuse would be that Logan had good reasons for doing most of the bad things he did, or that he had already redeemed himself and found absolution for his sins.

Ghost writer?? Really? No the guy wolverine killed was being used as a puppet and was as good as dead. Exhaust's ability kills you. Wolverine is not immune to the penance stare. Yes, the stare apparently doesn't work if you truly have no remorse, but even recently they've shown that wolverine does. Making peace with your past isn't the same as having no remorse. Why can't people leave this stuff to the folks who actually read comics instead of spreading misinformation for views?
