The best sci fi space craft I have ever seen.

1:16 I like how the Autopilot first tryed to change the course around the Asteroid field but failed because the Ship was flying at Half the Speed of Light and then made a "efficient" Route through the field.

Wake up after 120 years and get a sales pitch in the first 10 seconds, seems about right.

fun fact: producers of this movie wanted it to be as realistic as possible and while the shield is hypothetical/sci fi, everything else is either possible or theoretical (proven it's possible (ex. by using mathematics) but our current technological capabilities can't achieve it "yet") and that's why they hired scientists that worked as advisors in the design of the ship.

“Everything is okay.”
Narrator: Everything was NOT okay.

I don’t like how the automated technology is so advanced that everything is under control.

Honestly one of my favorite movies just cause the AI controlling everything doesn’t go batsh-t insane and actually does its job well

Imagine waking up alone on that ship but know how to sleep back. If somehow that happens i would wake up three girls and tell them that all is malfunction and need 2 years to complete a 4 sleeping doc.

Was just wondering how much energy is actually released if a meteor that size, let's say 1500 kilograms hits an object at 1/2 the speed of light. If my calc. is correct and I think it is, that would equal about 267857142.85 Hiroshima bombs. Pretty tough shield they have!

Genesis 22:17. I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore.

One day this will be reality.

There's something that doesn't quite add up with the outset of this movie: ok, ship gets hit by a meteor shower and malfunctions which automatically activates an engineer to awaken as a result of a back-up contingency plan in place. However, once repaired he cannot go back into hyper sleep again; secondly, he must have known before boarding or signed a disclaimer stating that there will be a risk of being woken early; thirdly, the computer ship woke him early for a reason so why did'nt it show him that reason; and, more, importantly, why did he question or not know why he was woken early?! Hence why I switched off the bollocks after 30 minutes!
