I used the GTE stage 1 performance chip in mine, I liked it. You should try the JDM stage 3, it does add more power. And I don't even have some of the upgrades you have. Great video!

I don't think Nissan put a CVT in this car if they didn't think it could handle a decently performing 300 horsepower engine. It is not a tiny car or tiny engine.. It's got stamps on the lights that say 4dsc which is what they call 4 door sports car. Keep up 0n your cvt fluid changes and it should go a long time. I was told every 35k for new cvt fluid once you get past like 50 u wanna do it that often. Keep old fluid and put the same amount back in. Nissan don't even recommend changing filter or strainer which is crazy to me 😂 but let's be real they've been using the CVT for a very long time so

I’m on the edge of getting a jemeni y pipe for my 2016 Nissan Maxima. Is there anyway you can do a video of your car cruising on the road? Maybe a flyby to see how it sounds from the outside?? It’s mean a lot to me man. Love your exhaust set up. 🙌🏽

I’ve always liked Maximas ever since the 90s. They’ve just always run well. It really sucks Nissan feels the need to put the fake shifting patterns into the CVT though. A decent CVT transmission isn’t really a detriment to a cars acceleration and the ones that are setup “right” just pull the engine right to its power peak and then hang there picking up speed. The fake shifts only serve to cut power multiple times during an acceleration run but it’s what people are used to so they program it into the TCU. In the case of like a Honda though their CVT in Sport mode performs great and from a roll a CVT 1.5T car wit bolt ons and a tune will pull on a 6MT car with the same mods. From a dig the manual cars have a much better launch though and will take the W.

As far as I remember reading, these CVTs are not able to handle anything higher than 300lbs/ft of torque. How did you manage to tune this without frying the transmission?

I think my 07 GS 350 would be right there. Pretty quick, not a huge fan of CVT.
