There’s plenty of practical reasons why this person shouldn’t save this rabbit.
1) it’s a rabbit, there’s plenty to go around
2) if he did manage to somehow get the weasel off the rabbit, the wild rabbit would be wounded and likely die from its injuries
3) if a weasel can kill confidently prey double it’s size, it’s could be potentially hostile to a human hand trying to touch it. I wouldn’t want to risk a weasel bite.
4) this is nature, weasels kill bunnies all of the time for survival. The only reason people don’t like it is because the bunnies are pretty cute. It’s also better to not interact with wild interactions than we already have.

To everyone asking why he didn’t save it: Bunnies are my favorite animals.. but even I admit there’s plenty of them to go around. 😕 There will be many more wild baby bunnies running around a couple months after that. I bet a few weasels having some meals like every other animal will not hurt the rabbit population.

This isn't easy to watch, but this is how nature works. Animal lovers saying "why didn't you help it" need to understand that it's the natural way of this world for predators like weasels to eat prey animals like rabbits. Why does the rabbit have more right to live than the weasel which evolution has bred over millions of years to survive by eating rabbits and other prey animals? If you don't like that, then you're more than welcome to philosophize about why we were born into a cruel universe where nature is so brutal.
