CZECHIA: PRAGUE TO BRNO (24 hours in Czechia's 2nd largest city)

Is Prague all there is to Czechia? Of course not! But if you're American, you've probably never heard of Czechia's 2nd largest city, Brno and historical capital of the Moravian region. Think of it as Prague's little sister, with aspirational dreams to out-"hipster" her big sister. We spent 24 hours in Brno to get a taste of Czechia's second city.

Yes I agree re your authenticity comment. I found that also say when you compare Colmar in France to the lesser known Annecy. They are both worth exploring and both gorgeous, but for me Annecy is so much more authentic and you get that local feel. So important when you’re exploring places I think! Looking forward to experiencing everything Brno has to offer soon! Cheers from Australia

Jsem z Prahy, kde mám i rodinu :) a jsem odstěhovaná dobrovolně do Brna. Čelím věčným srandám ze strany Prahy na Brno a opačně jsem zatím neslyšela ani jednu "vtipnou" poznámku na Prahu. Nelituju a naprosto souhlasím, že jde o místo pro lidi, kteří v něm žijí. Pražský cirkus jsem si zažívala 27 let a přišel čas, kdy jsem toho měla dost. Brno mám jako přestupní stanici než se v budoucnu posunu ještě kousek blíž k vinicím, ale nemůžu si stěžovat. Klidnější tempo, mentalita lidí uplně na jiné úrovni - ochotnější, přátelštější. Centrum a obecně město je pro mě krásné a dostatečně velké... nemůžu si to vynachválit. Do Prahy jedině za rodinou a při odjezdu mám Prahy zase až až. Každého věc :).

YES, I'm from Brno and that's exactly what I love about it! The city is very authentic.. as we have almost no tourists here :). On the other hand, we have tens of thousands of students, so all the fun things - bars, cafes, restaurants, hipster places... are rampant, while the prices are still low. Also, the quality of your videos is amazing and you are very fun! Stay safe and thank you for your positive attitude :)

Třamvaj :-) ani tramvaj opravdu v Brně není :-) to se každý hned prozradí :-) Jsem Brňačka a ráda jezdím do Prahy a užívám si ji maximálně. Ale Brno zůstane vždy mému srdci blíž. Tvé video mě moc pobavilo. Doufám, že brzy přijedeš znovu na Moravu :-D Myslím si, že ale Brňáci mají hooodně vtipů o Pražácích... Ta "rivalita/závist" je oboustranná.

Moc děkuju za tohle video. Ta věta, kterou říkáte na závěr to úplně vystihuje a já děkuji za tak trefné vyjádření. Brno je opravdu víc pro lidi, pro Brňáky. Neni jen pro parádu, v centru je hodně míst, restaurací, barů kam rád chodím a to jsem v Brně už 22 let. Nemám pocit, že by se tu toho dělo tolik jen "pro efekt", tak jako v Praze.

Just an explonation for non-czech viewers. D1 highway, I/43 road (Svitavy-Brno) and the Brno's main railway station are integral parts of modern Brno's fortification. It's much more effective than the former medieval walls.
