'Scotland does not want to leave the EU,' Scottish minister reacts to U.K. election

Talk of Scottish independence has been revived since the Scottish National Party won 48 of Scotland's 59 seats in the British Parliament. Scottish Minister Michael Russell says Scots should have the right to have a referendum on that issue.

lady there was no vote for snp....it was against labour and against conservatives....not a vote for another referendum...even if you were able to get independence....the eu under art 49 says application will take 5-8 years and no guarantee....scot must use Euro as sole currency. The UK waiver is not transferable and as long as other countries like spain have domestic separatists problem such as Catalonia, they would veto Scot application...and once Scot leaves..no coming

The conservatives have the SNP in a corner (moral???), the SNP cannot force Westminster to give an indyref2 , if the SNP try to have a referendum without the UK's say so, Scotland would find it very hard to join the EU after leaving as Spain would veto ther entrance on the issue of the Catalonia question,
