EV + ICE = 2 Car Family?

Nothing beats a ICE engine. I’ll keep driving my Straight Six BMW until they physically stop me.

Ofcourse, I was thinking about the same thing and came to same conclusion. One EV for daily commute and one ice for long runs. Maybe PHEVs and PEVs will change that if they provide around 200 Km range on electric but only with a reasonable price tag for middle class

I think if everyone was upper middle class then i 100% agree.

But 40% of the country spends less than 3k on a car. Many cant afford half that. Outside of London, the median disposable income is below £80 a month.

Also (my brother works for BYD) its well known inside the industry that EV cars are a finite medium term use item designed and planned to last 10 years.

I like EVs, but they're only for the wealthier half of the country, (inc those that dont realise they are).
