I used to load the trucks every morning with this guy. We both became drivers eventually. He's a good dude. Hope he is doing well.

FedEx ground delivery is ran by contractors
Contractor buys a route and hires people to do them
Usually they pay per day (160-190) plus $1 per stop after 100 stops
They base the “hourly pay” off how fast the route is done.
The faster you’re done the more you made per hour. It’s still a flat rate.

FedEx express is actual hourly 22-28/hour(depending where you live) and you work directly for FedEx, no contractor

I work for FedEx as a customer agent. A lot of jobs required you to have 2 years of experience, when it comes to driving a truck and customers service. FedEx is a good way to get those experiences and they pay you to get your CDL license, plus any endorsements. After getting experiences I would recommend finding another job.

To all Express employees, start brushing up that resume asap. The merger with ground is coming fast. Fedex doesn’t want employees anymore. Forget about a pension, 401k, or benefits. Express stations are being closed and the freight is going to be asorbed by Ground. All those 4Z split packages were just the beginning of the merger. Joe Blow logistics is going to be running your routes. Get your CDL now. Bid on a RTD job if possible and gain the experience. Mark my words, the PSP motto and the 10 step program went out the window 20 years ago. Now it is just “Profits, Severance, Profits”. Fat Freddy and Raj could care less about Express couriers.

I started as a driver for FedEx Ground just before the pandemic and it's the best money I've ever made. Plus it's great exercise, you get to work outside, you get to have more control over completing tasks, and much more. It's pretty clear the guy in the video is just having a bad day.

I work for express as a pick up driver and it’s pretty chill… 25-35 stops a day, $700 weekly. At the lowest pay

IT’S NOT PER HOUR!!!! IT’S SALARY!!!!

There is no such thing as a contractor with integrity!!!! The employee has no laws or rights or protection from the parent company!!!! Contractors know this and will abuse it!!!! Stay away from contractor Sheronda Lipscumb Johnson at the FedEx terminal in Richfield, OH!!!! And as always, stay away from Amazon delivery too!!!!

Less than $20 an hour
That’s poverty level in America.
The workers at FED EX should stick together & unionize & get the money & benefits they are worth

I was making $750 a week before taxes ($150 a day, no overtime) until they started overworking me. Now my checks are between $850-$1200 a week ( before taxes) depending on how many hours I work

It’s cause FedEx Ground and FedEx Home are contractors it’s not through cooperate. If you’re trying to get on with FedEx you’re better off trying FedEx Office, FedEx Express, FedEx Freight. Freight is the highest paying for those wanting to know. I worked at freight for over 9 years.

Y’all I just started at FedEx… it’s very hard work. They started me out at almost 30 an hour after premiums. The benefits are even very amazing for what you pay. You have to under than there are various market levels… they pay more or less depending on city.

Lemme save y’all the trouble. I started at 20 bucks. No over time. No holidays. Work every Sunday. They load your truck to the point u can’t even get back there to organize stuff. You don’t work for “FedEx “ you work for a privately owned company so insurance is whatever they offer. Absolutely no growth. It’s ABSOLUTELY not worth it.

Fedex is shit!
I was hired at Express as a casual driver
And they only used me and a few other guys when it was busy.. December to the beginning of feb.... then 🔪
I had no set schedule.. they only called me on Monday when and if someone called out...to go deliver 200+ 📦 to the mall.
And then have the audacity to say it must be done before 10 am
Pay was $18.71/hr
The LEO (handheld device) scanner was ancient/ dilapidated.
Trucks were falling apart.
I was only getting like 10 hrs a week...wtf am I supposed to do with that?. I left
As a casual, we got absolutely no benefits.. NOTHING!

Technically these FedEx drivers are hired to someone who buys the route and bargains with FedEx on the price and yes they work for FedEx but if the owner of the route doesn’t like the price FedEx will get someone to sell it to.
