PORTS are peripherals in a microcontroller which helps to control and monitor voltage levels associated with pins in the microcontroller chip. This video gives you an insight into programming PORTS when configured as input pins in AVR atmega16 microcontroller.

ATMega16 program is written in C language using MPLab X IDE and using XC8 C compiler.

A step by step explanation about all the C command lines involved is given.

Further the output of the program is simulated using Proteus ISIS environment, and steps involved in the simulation is also provided.
