Getting started with AVR microcontroller : LED Blinking

Here I show how a AVR microcontroller is programmed using USBasp and AVR8 Burn-O-Mat. Atmel Studio is used to create a hex file from C code for the required micro.

I will suggest you to build a devolupment board like Arduino on a perf board (pcb). you can place your atmega on it with female headers for output, input and connection for usb to serial convertor with 7805 voltage regulator .so, you will not need to wire it up again and again. and you can also label the pin numbers.
