Democratic congressional leaders Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris Tuesday for the Democratic nomination in the 2024 presidential race. This comes after President Biden announced Sunday he was dropping out of the running and endorsed Harris' campaign.

Perhaps it is a ripe time for the USA to have her first woman commander-in-chief, not just a woman, but a woman of color who is not totally new to the White House as the incumbent Vice President. Excited for Harris. In the East Asia Pacific, we would welcome her more than the previous one (Trump) whose leadership through his international policies and dealings, we had somehow a taste of already.
