How to Install Redis on Windows 10

The Redis project does not officially support Windows. However, the Microsoft Open Tech group develops and maintains this Windows port targeting Win64.

There are two ways to install Redis under Windows

1. Download the latest Redis .msi file from
and install it.

2. You can choose either from these sources

Personally I prepared the first option
- Extract the zip to prepared directory

dude this guy made it so easy. i have never started anything without any errors before ever. I had no issue at all here however maybe put the easy way first lol i finished the hard way and then he was like now ill show u the easy way. Hie, great tutrial. How do i add the redis server to run in the Visual Studio Code terminal. Because from the Windows shell terminal its working but in vs code terminal i always get an error.

A good guide, but you could record it in 5 minutes. People interested in Redis already have good knowledge in computer science. No need to point like: "click and click and click; here double click".
