Mr. Simon is an excellent guy to listen to with enthusiasm as he has an ability to connect dots like Mr. Martin Armstrong both are unique.

But I would like to have an answer from Simon that why citizens who live in countries controlled by government ( undemocratic) should worry about currency down turn isn't that suppose to be the roleofthegovermentto maintain its currency value why citizen? as governments are not same inallcountries. Further why a citizen should complete with central banks and financial institutions in stocking golds to protect his own assets since the goverment role is to protect it's currency from debasement or devalue.

Is not USA though a democratic country try to stage a war as per Simon to protect dollar so why then citizen has to track the gold and not the goverment

Overall the crack between west & east is growing very fast . Still I feel US holds upper hand due to its reasearch & technological advancement .

Such a Gold-backed BRICS currency was not yet officially announced and i don't think it will. No country on this planet can come up with a Gold backed currency, not even a conglomerate of countries such as BRICS unless they can survive with internal trading among each other. Their currency would rise that much that their industries would no longer be competitive on the global market.
