I wouldn't have a six digit number of pictures on my harddrive had I not started out with an X100T. I didn't plan for this hobby to take up so much of my time for four and a half year (till covid made me take a long break). After the X100T came a lot of other Fuji cameras. But the X100 line was my gateway into photography. I've got the X100VI now. It is a really good camera :-)

I'm an seroius hobby photo guy gone from all the way Sony A7 ii, iii, ivR and a LOT of lenses (loved the Ziess Batis ones). Now I'm downsized first to a used X100V and now a brand new X100VI and I LOVE the camera, I've really experience being a photographer once again. Thanx Fujifilm for this experience

I have a X100V that I bought last year. I have a lot of other cameras and a complete Fuji system. However... I love the simplicity of a fixed focal length small camera that has a lot of capability. I don't have to choose what lens to use and I don't have to have a big kit with me. I carry my X100V and a Contax TVS in a small Domke bag with some spare batteries, a couple of SD cards, and a spare roll of film.

It's a blast to use. It produces excellent images.

I usually set mine at auto-ISO, auto-shutter speed, and f/8. If I want to change depth of field, easy-peasy. I also have back-button focusing engaged.

I think the big selling point on the x100 series is that’s it’s a great camera if you want to do minimal editing and not invest in glass. Personally I like an interchangeable lens system. Previously had the X-T5 and sold it for the A7cii since I have quite a few Sony glass.

I hemmed and hawed about buying this camera and could have pre-ordered sooner. I broke down and purchased one, and this is my first real test as an adult with delayed gratification waiting for it to arrive. In the meantime, I will practice on my XPro2 and play with my lenses. I keep torturing myself watching these review videos, but they make me feel like I joined a community. Enjoyed your perspective.

I currently have the X-E3 with the 23mm f2 lens and it does the job, I also like the fact that I also have the 35mm and 50mm f2s in my bag to mix things up a bit. That said I have always wanted an X100 range just due to the size and the pureness of it. I really could see me having it alongside my E3 + 35mm f2 on a shoot and know that I have both of my favorite focal lengths covered and am discreet enough not to draw attention to myself.

Completes my bag quite nicely and compliments my fm3a and mamiya 6 for some quick digitals

I have an X100v as well as a full frame DSLR with a number of lenses. I absolutely love the V and currently see no reason to upgrade to the VI, just for the 40mp. If you don’t own the V, then the VI is well worth getting. It’s a joy to use. These days my money is better spent expanding the lens choice for my DSLR especially as people are moving to mirrorless.

I am deciding between this or the Ricoh GRiiiX. It's a tough choice. I already have the XT4 for more serious stuff, but I totally agree with you, you are more likely to bring the fixed lens point and show.

Glad to see you were finally able to get one on loan! I put in an order for one as well, now I just have to

I love landscape photography and I’m very tired to carry lots of lens and the weight on my shoulder, so this can be a great option I guess! Can I enlarge the shots for big paintings? Thanks

Placed my order for the VI on 2/20/24. I'm still in backorder status with ZERO updates from B&H as to when I might receive one. Love my V but sold it before the 20th figuring Fuji would have plenty of VI to go around. That's why they moved production to China, right? Hindsight says that was a stupid move. My mistake. Really glad you like the VI overall. Praying mine will show up before the end of the year.

As a professional, I don't see myself using this for work super often, but it's going to absolutely replace my 35mm point and shoot. I still shoot 120 but 35mm is really not time or cost effective for "fun" shooting and snapshots. I just have a huge 35mm backlog because it's unimportant work to me, just fun around-town stuff that falls out of priority vs. my work and project photos. Hopefully I get my order soon!

Great camera, I would love to get one. Unfortunately, weeks since the introduction and production are already sold out. The VI is already selling on eBay for between $2000 - 2500.

Looks like a rad camera. I had the x100f and sold it. I think I will pick one up for some upcoming travel for casual stuff. Loved watching your review. Thanks for sharing Benj!
