John's endorsement at the end feels like the breaking of a floodgate that we nerdfighters quietly, politely did not cross. That said, I would hope that Hank would run for a local office first. One of the main problems with the US's political culture is an obsession over only the most visible politicians, ignoring the vast and overall more important layers of local governments and bureaucracies.

I was actually thinking about this a few weeks ago, and considering whether I'd vote for you, John. I decided no, I would not put that kind of overwhelming pressure on such a genuine, deep thinking, occasionally troubled man. You are perfect right where you are - raising money for charity, making awesome content, and generally decreasing world suck. Now Hank on the other hand... I would vote for Hank. An excellent pseudo thoughts from places video. Honestly sometimes it just nice to hear John speak. His cadence is so relaxing and his tone is always so earnest and thoughtful. I regularly go back and rewatch thoughts from places videos these days because they provide me with a sense of "home." Knowing that I am not alone in my frequent introspection is always a comfort.
