4(4^x)-¼(4^x)=5
(4-¼)(4^x)=5 --> 4^x=5/(4-¼)
=20/15
4^(x-1)=⅓
Take logarithm
(x-1)log(4)=log(⅓)
x=1-[log(3)]/log(4)

4^(x) • 4^(1) - 4^(x) • 4^(-1) = 5
=> 4^(x) [4^(1) - 4^(-1)] = 5
=> 4^(x) [4-1/4] = 5
=> 4^(x) • 15/4 = 5
=> 4^(x) = (5•4)/15 = 20/15 = 4/3

ln(4^(x)) = ln(4/3)
=> xLn(4) = Ln(4/3)
=> x = Ln(4/3)/Ln(4)
=> x = [Ln(4) - Ln(3)]/Ln(4)
