That dude screaming "No way, no way" in the background is such a mood.

Thoms older voice really fits well with the darkness of the song. I also like the way that you can hear the acoustic guitar keep strumming during the climax of the song, unlike the studio version. Really adds to it. Shed a tear to this version.

This moment when the crowd raises their hands at the strongest moment of the song is so exciting and breathtaking. (3:19 - 3:25)

One of their very best. The moment the drums kick in is pure orgasmic.

3:21 that accidental halfstep up just made it so much more haunting!! My god this mans voice is fine.

I was 20, I remember my great grandma was dying and I, as a good human. Should stay home next to her. I was to broken. Mind she was like my mom . I couldn’t take it. Went back around 3 AM, she was in her last moments. Asked her to give me a hug and went to bed. Woke up and she was gone. Never felt so empty in my life. I don’t know how to deal with emotions. Still don’t. Got my long leather jacket, discman and this album. Played this song on repeat for like 10 hours ( yes I’m crazy, probably). Walked all the way to the church were I used to take her for mass cause she love it. Bottom line this song means so much.

Jesus Freaking Christ, Radiohead makes you feel things you didn’t even know it’s possible to feel.

OMG, this song is amazing. Never heard anything so excruciating and beautiful. On a wrong day it can lead me to serious sobbing.

I don’t think I would be able to make it through hearing this song live without sobbing uncontrollably

This song ages like fine wine.
This performance is inexplicably complete. It seems rough and raw, but it makes it feel more perfected.
If I die in a moment that leaves things unfinished I hope to god this is playing in the background.

Wake
From your sleep
The drying of
Your tears
Today
We escape
We escape

Pack
And get dressed
Before your father hears us
Before
All hell
Breaks loose

Breathe
Keep breathing
Don't loose
Your nerve
Breathe
Keep breathing
I can't do this
Alone

Sing
Us a song
A song to keep
Us warm
There's
Such a chill
Such a chill

You can laugh
A spineless laugh
We hope your
Rules and wisdom choke you

Now
We are one
In everlasting peace

We hope that you choke
That you choke
We hope that you choke
That you choke
We hope
That you choke
That you choke

Why is this song so epic? I can’t believe this was 2017, only 6 years ago. It seems to me that these human emotions don’t exist anymore in 2023, because so much has changed, but this video gives me hope that if Radiohead toured now and we listened to this live, we’d sing, lift our arms to this masterpiece, and express our most raw, hidden, repressed emotions and let Radiohead’s art heal as much as can be healed in our souls.

This is hands down the best version of this song... I think Thom's mood and voice are what this song is supposed to be

Respect, his wife died in late 2016. Can imagine he was going through a lot.

50 year old man here crying in his living room watching this on the television.
I can't imagine what state I'd be in seeing this live.
