On the whole, I agree with you. However, Ashampoo Driver Update did fix a glitch on my computer which I was unable to fix using free methods such as snappy driver.

I’m having issues and a shed load of cheek from a whirlpool dishwasher. Think I’ll upgrade to a nice modern shaped Miele machine that’s nice and quiet. Something that is future-proof and hack -free from those pesky North Koreans. Nice light coloured model. Even out of a bottle will be ok the way things are going. With no interface or any compatibility issues at all. As always here’s a big fat 👍 from me. I use Windows update to take care of my driver update needs as you said in your video and I will agree after many years of working on computers that since Windows 10 Microsoft has been doing a really really good job of updating drivers, but occasionally there is an issue and I will go to the manufacturer, also I have been trying out Snappy Drivers which you showed us in a recent video what a wonderful product, and thank you for showing it to us ... And your confidence, That as you know, ... these automatic driver update tools that have been around for many years are virtually all scams or selling you something after installing their software, the word you might use to describe this is... The software can be a bit Dodgy... 🙂

Beware of Realtek audio driver updates. In the past I have updated this and not worth it as the updates have been old as in 2017 etc. The issue is that an update will reset your settings to defaolt settings and one will need to (at first anyway) figure out just what to reset. Mine always used to reduce the volume greatly till if figured out the setting that caused this - something as simple as simple can be once figured out. Note: I have my Audio output plugged into my audio system. Spent some time figuring out what to restet the first 2 times. hard to remember 1 setting for more than a year. Hope this help some in the grief department

If I am not mistaken this is mostly for home built systems and not pre built systems like from HP. As far as I know motherboard updates come directly from HP or Microsoft. HP usually has a their own utility installed for this.

What order should you install drivers? Do you do the bios first? I just installed windows 10 from 8.1 on a two-in-one laptop and a few things aren't working like Bluetooth, audio etc. Thinking about it now I should have probably updated the BIOS before I upgraded from 8.1 to Windows 10 but that's water under the bridge now. Yes it was needed in the past especially with Windows XP

win 11 keeps turning the screen off after a few mins even though ive set it all to Never? ive followed many tutorials and it still switches screen off !!! HELP

Since you mentioned the NVIDIA GeForce website update, I used to use that regularly to update the drivers. Then one time I did so and my screen started acting up. Dell Tech told me the driver had not been optimized by Dell to work with the screen and since then I wait for Dell updates

Britec 09 you missed some driver updates like my Wifi adapter are not in windows update they only offer it in the windows update catalog you need to tell people about the windows update catalog page and manually how to install those

I was suprised to learn that my computer manufacture(Levono) clearly states that it makes their own Motherboards.

What irks me most is windows updated my video driver which I know is the WRONG driver for my particular computer. Even though my update settings clearly indicate not to install any optional and recommended updates.
Delaying updates only suspends the update, which windows will get you eventually.
On multiple occasions I've had to reinstall the correct drivers manually which windows insists on replacing, causing a "loop" of updates. Very frustrating, Thanks Brian

If it works fine, leave it alone A couple of weeks ago, my battery in one of my laptops stopped working. I tried updating the battery driver, uninstalling and the reinstalling, looking for a update. uninstalling, and then rebooting nothing worked. Not until I looked underneath and noticed the battery decided to fall out for no reason LOL

I updated a driver for a nvme driver, the computer then failed to start up, any kind of disk driver is not worth the risk.

Updating Drivers is the cause of most Blue screen errors
