Brilliant video Adam, thank you! But, bless you, here's a tip to help you cook to a recipe: measure everything out in little bowls before you start the method (just like they do on TV!).

Thanks Adam for such an informative video. This lesson itself is a fantastic model of clear and precise teaching.

Fantastic video Adam and researchED team, thank you very much. Now to go and put it into practice; I'm going to see if I can explain the split attention effect to my husband now. I particularly liked the recipe analogy, I totally do that all the time, makes complete sense why I may be confusing my pupils by giving them information in different places.

Thank you Adam. I’ve learnt additional stuff here that I can use to improve my video recording and visuals to use.

Thanks Adam. As someone who will be starting their teaching journey in September and training online over the next few weeks with TeachFirst, this will be more than helpful. Will recommend to others on the program also.

I think cookbooks are written like that so that you can make a comprehensive shopping list... Great video though. They really should just put ingredients in both!

A great talk and a good reminder how important it is too keep things SIMPLE! (e.g. dinosaurs). I am too easily distracted by all the other questions that are asked in the room...

This is so useful Adam. The issue of split attention of course is a massive issue with online learning as it is virtually impossible to ensure that students are not being distracted by other stimuli when they are in their bedroom with lots of potential distractions that might not be available in their classroom e.g. mobile phones, TV, other household members. Any advice of how to deal with this?

Great, great content! One question: "All eyes on me" you have a name for this technique but I can't hear what you are saying, could you repeat that?

The working memory has a visual channel and a verbal channel. Could it be argued that there is a movement channel too?

It is not about showing dinosaurs. The idea is that they are fossils that are shown to show they are fossil fuels!
