Nerd alert: While hemophilia was common in Victoria’s blood line, Lady D’s love for drinking blood actually falls in line with another blood disorder that’s seen in noble European blood lines: porphyria. Some forms actually cause folks to desire the taste of blood and where much lore of vampires came from. Thank you for dealing with my nerdiness.

According to the game, lady D didn’t experiment or create her daughters herself. Mother Miranda did, while lady D had more of an observatory role.

I don't know about her DNA, but she's the most intact crystal remains we see of any character, and we know there's a method for transforming crystalline bodies back into flesh in this world.

She should've been the main villain

Hopefully she's in the dlc!

Maybe the merchant can bring her back?….🤔 he did buy all their bodies off of us.

Lady D's own memories of her family are post-treatment, a treatment which would have included memory alteration if one of the theories, that she was experimented on against her will, was true. The fact that she considers three adopted, not biological, daughters to be part of her own bloodline also speaks to an altered view of her own actual bloodline. It is entirely possible that there are more members of Lady D's offspring out there that she was forced to forget during the treatments. These other offspring would be backup test subjects for Mother Miranda.

Just a couple of things: Miranda created the "daughters", not Alcina . And the painting showing the three girls is quite older than what the daughters would have been. It's a real painting fromt the early 19th century. Most likely, that painting has been in the Dimitrescu family for generations and Lady D named her daughters after it.

My take on the portrait when I saw it in game was that it was there when Alcina moved into the castle, and that she named her daughters after the girls in it.

What a shame they underused their villains. Imagine how amazing it would be if they took the far cry approach

Y'know none of the lords are actually "dead"
Their remains kind of still have "energy running in them" as Duke says when you sell them to him (Karl's remains at least) I think they somehow are still alive inside those crystal remains
I like to think that at least

I don't know if you're aware, but the voice and mo-cap actor of Dianella is posting a Let's play series of REVIII with the other voice actors as guests (Maggie Robertson, Lady D's voice actor for the castle, Paula Rhodes, Angie's actor for the Beneviento mansion etc) Her name is Nicole Tompkins and that's the name of her channel too!

Anyway, great video Zoe, always good to know more about the Lady D! Loved the theories a lot, and I hope we'll see her again!

Mrs. Healing Factor certainly survived. She was the only one, outside of Miranda, that needed to be debuffed for Ethan to defeat.

This is a very detailed and well made video about Lady Dimitrescu! Due to the popularity of her character it’s almost guaranteed that a specific DLC will center around Lady D, and I am 100% ok with that!

I would love to play a DLC that digs more into the history of the castle, Lady D’s past, her relationship with Mother Miranda, and the life of her three daughters before they became a huge pile of flies 🤣😂

Wonderful video! Cheers!

I wouldn't mind a backstory of Lady D in a novel or fanfic. She's got an interesting upbringing and would be a great backdrop during both world wars and the world after them with rapid techonological advancements. Almost like Bioshock

I can listen to stuff about village for long time going to be sad when there is nothing else to talk about for the game. Just wish she wasn’t the first boss 😞

The four lords, i would imagine, responded very well is because their ancestors have been long enough living in the village (known to be founders). Their body have responded well with the environment and may have indirect interaction with the molds.

I suspect she came from France given how she pronounces her surname. It quite possible she had no idea how dangerous the dagger was to her since her would be assassin clearly didn’t get a chance to use it on her. One theory is she subjected herself to Miranda’s experiments for the sake of her daughters and Miranda lured her with the promise of using any discoveries from said experiment to help them. A promise Miranda didn’t keep electing to give her three new daughters instead.

Wait a minute.... One drop of blood consumed by a raven? How could I miss it. That could even mean that Mother Miranda(raven feathers) saved Alcina.
Thanks for the video. As always quality content delivered by u guys :)
