Increasing cyl pressure inhibits spark travel. Hence turbo, Superchg'd engines use narrower gaps than NA to avoid misfire. Wide gaps help NA complete combustion to a point. Usually found in underhood specs.

Watching replay of your live feed this morning. Off topic questions here but I am working on a supercharged Fiero swap. I am thinking of adding a ZZ Performance intercooler. Their website does not specify the thickness. Do you remember about how thick the core was? There is not a lot of extra deck height available. Did you have any problems routing the intercooler hoses? They run to front of the engine and the Fiero engine compartment is pretty busy on that side (right side).

Great content! I have a request. Can you do a series of tests to see how much horsepower you can get from a standard carb? Holly 600 vs auto lite 2 barrel vs edelbrock 750 etc. I'm thinking you would would need a rather large displacement bbc or equivalent. Not as a contest to see which is better but to see what one can realistically expect from a specific size carb. Any combo would work I'm thinking as long as they are unmodified. Thanks again!
