REVIEW :
The Safari is different from any production pickup on the road. Ford equalled the regular F-150 with advanced off-road equipment and expanded its aluminum body for a deliberate look. A V-6 Twin-Turbo HP 450 is hiding under its hood. Its Shift 10-Speed automatic paddle works properly and its sophisticated transmission the Safari in 5.1 seconds at 60 mph rocket. Its size on the waist make tight spaces treacherous, but an amazing suspension and comfortable cabin means no Untamable territory and no uncomfortable travel. Compared to classic pickups, Safari is on a different level, offering a pure and dumb fun like no other.
Tops: Amazing suspension, good Twin-Turbo V-6 candle, looks like a transformer.
Year: Too much off-road truck for most people, clumsy automatic 10-speed, as wide as a Freightliner.
Verdict: Hands down, the best dish for desert pulse-flying run and pure, dumb Fun.
What's new for 2019?
While the Safari remained mostly the same since Ford introduced this second generation version, the radical twin of F-150 received an improved suspension for 2019. The new Fox Racing adaptive shocks in English is standard, and they automatically adjust in real time driving conditions change. The Safari also got a low-speed cruise control called Trail, which climbs rocky terrain and other off-road obstacles easier for the driver. Other updates include new paint colors, new wheels design and optional Recaro front seats for extra support and style.
