Tesla makes most of it's profits by carbon credits that other car companies buy. Meanwhile the batteries require tons of lithium, and the electricity that charges them are essentially mostly regular generation as the green energy is really not making much electricity. I worked at a plant that used waste gas to generate electricity... On paper it made 20kw, but in reality 5, because the gas compressors took 15
